Our Fashion Wish List For The New Year

It's been an ugly year. Heres what we'd like to see more of (and less of) in the coming year.

We say Yes to:
Peacoats
Bug eyed sunglasses
Leg warmers
Vintage Styles
Round toed shoes
More fluid jersey dresses

We don't want to see any more:
Big empty purses
Bleached out jeans
Mini skirts with bum hanging out
Metallic jazz shoes
Snuggies
Fur vests

Teenage daughter:
No more flesh colored clothing
Yes, yes, yes! to gladiator platforms and headbands with big bows

Fashion Design Mom:
No more chanel jackets on twenty and thirty somethings
No,no, no! to gladiator platforms

But our biggest fashion wish is to see more models like Lizzi Miller and Company.

Happy Fashion New Year!

Fashion do's that should be don'ts

Teenage daughter here, how many of you see other girls and women sporting the "jeans tucked into boots" fashion? And how many times do you feel like telling these people they look ridiculous? I know I do. I like sporting boots with my outfits, but please. If you must wear the boots please (for the frogs sake) wear them tucked under your bellbottoms or with skirts. Next matter on my fashion do's that should be don'ts. Fringed boots???? What the! not only are they a death trap for you feet but if you have cats they will think they are new toys. I don't care if Miley Cyrus wears them, they are dangerous. Now on to the latest fashion freak out. I recently was reading one of my mom's Glamour magazines. And there was an article on how ripped up bleached out jeans are no longer a no no. I beg to differ, not only are people taking cute jeans and ruining them, but they are donning a trashy look. And nobody looks good dressed trashy. So as a future tip to yourself, you don't always have to wear the latest fashion rage, and make yourself like it. Because chances are it wont always look good on you.

Next topic on Teenage Daughters list, Do models need to be super small? we'll find out!
